Professor Sir Terence Stephenson is Nuffield Professor of Child Health at the Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, University College London and Co-Director of the nationally funded Children’s Policy Research Unit. He was knighted in the 2018 New Year Honours for services to Healthcare and Children's Health Services.

HANNA NOHYNEK

Chief Physician, Deputy Head, Unit Infectious Diseases Control and Vaccines, Department Health Security, Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare, FINLAND

She completed her medical studies, PhD and international health competence in Helsinki. She serves as secretary of  the Finnish NITAG, and the subgroup of the Strategic development of influenza vaccination programme. In addition, she practices clinical medicine at the travel health clinic Aava, Helsinki.

Martine Ingvorsen has worked for the European Commission since 2012. She is currently employed as a policy officer at the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety and works on vaccination, in particular communication-related aspects of the Commission’s efforts to promote vaccination at EU level.

 

 

 


SIMON KROLL

Professor of Paediatrics and Molecular Infectious Diseases, Imperial College and St Mary’s Hospital. UNITED KINGDOM

Professor of Paediatrics at Imperial College London since 1993, and a Fellow of the United Kingdom’s Academy of Medical Sciences, Simon Kroll heads the Molecular Infectious Diseases Group at Imperial College, carrying out research into the molecular basis for pathogenesis of septicaemia and meningitis caused by Haemophilus influenzae and Neisseria meningitidis, and the evolution of the gastrointestinal and respiratory tract microbiota in infancy and its contribution to health and disease.

ELISABETH SANDERS

Professor in Pediatric Immunology & Infectious Diseases at Utrecht University Medical Centre and Chief Scientific Officer at the Institute of Public health and the Environment, THE NETHERLANDS

 

Lieke (Elisabeth A.M.) Sanders (1959) is paediatrician and professor in Immunology and Infectious Diseases. From 1993 onwards, she worked as clinician-immunologist at the University Hospital for Children in Utrecht treating patients with primary immunodeficiency disease and recurrent infections.

Consultant Neonatologist & Adjunct Professor of Neonatology, University Maternity Hospital Limerick GEMS, University of Limerick, IRELAND

Paediatrician, Neonatologist and an innovator of healthcare products and services, Dr. Philip is the former Clinical Director of Maternal and Child Health of University Hospital in Limerick, Ireland. He was the President of Irish Paediatric Association (IPA) from 2007 to 2012. He was formerly the consultant at Rotunda Maternity Hospital Dublin and the critical care Fellow at the Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, London.

Executive Vice President, MD, DMSc, Statens Serum Institute, DENMARK

After basic training in clinical infectious diseases, Kåre Mølbak held research positions in connection with the Bandim health research project in Guinea Bissau and at several departments at Statens Serum Institut. Additional international collaboration include work in Liberia, Vietnam, India, and Ghana. At the present position, he works as the head of the Division of Infectious Diseases Preparedness in Denmark which includes public health reference laboratories as well as surveillance and control activities.

Rath, MD PhD HDR is a board-certified pediatrician and infectious disease specialist with 20 years experience in clinical trials, public health, and virology in the US, Latin America and Europe. Dr. Rath is honorary professor at the University of Nottingham School of Medicine, UK, Research Director at the University of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, France, and board member with the International Society for Influenza and Other Respiratory Viruses (ISIRV).

Paolo Bonanni is a Full Professor of Hygiene in the Faculty of Medicine and the Director of the Specialization School for MDs in Hygiene and Preventive Medicine at the University of Florence, Italy. Professor Bonanni graduated in Medicine and Surgery (MD) in 1985 and was awarded two specialisations in Hygiene and Preventive Medicine at the University of Genoa, Italy.
