As we have emerged from the COVID pandemic, we must face the reality that we live in a new era impacting all aspects of our lives, including our healthcare priorities. Within this context, we must identify the emerging vaccine barriers to increase vaccination rates across the life course. We must increase vaccine confidence and invest in preventative strategies to build robust, cost-effective, resilient health systems.

The Healthcare Community and Policymakers must address the new and emerging immunisation challenges before they become insurmountable. By bringing together the key organisations, opinion leaders, associations, and policymakers, EIP is constantly working on what needs to change and what activities need to happen to support the desired change.

The 5 Working Groups formed are tasked with identifying established and emerging barriers to vaccine uptake and advising on the most suitable policy changes and action plans that will bring about immediate improvements to vaccine uptake and coverage.

7th LifeCourse Immunisation Summit and Working Groups Agendas

The 5 Working Groups met in 2022 in Amsterdam and online from 1-2 December. They were tasked with identifying the established disease burden and emerging barriers to immunisation uptake and then advising on the most suitable policy changes and action plans that will bring about immediate improvements to vaccine uptake and coverage in each disease area.
