Social media toolkit for healthcare professionals
Spreading authoritative information online: #VaccinesWork
Vaccines have saved hundreds of thousands of lives around the globe. Each year, vaccination stops 2.7 million people worldwide from getting measles, one million from getting pertussis and two million babies from getting tetanus. However, in recent years, vaccine delays and refusals have contributed to declining immunisation rates in a number of EU countries. Recent measles outbreaks – the highest in the EU for years - are an illustration of the impact of non-vaccination.
Coalition for Vaccination's flu campaign kicks off
The Coalition for Vaccination launches an online advocacy campaign on influenza vaccination. All members of the Coalition for Vaccination are invited to promote and disseminate the campaign materials including videos, images and example tweets and posts via social media. It is crucial that healthcare professionals get vaccinated as influenza and COVID-19 coincide. Click on Read more to access the Social Media Toolkit links.

The 5th LifeCourse Immunisation and Health System Resilience Working Group Meetings
will take place Virtually on the 3rd and 4th December 2020
By bringing together the key organisations, opinion leaders, associations, and policymakers EIP are constantly working on what needs to change and what activities need to happen to support the desired change. Four meetings will take place virtually on 3rd and 4th December 2020. Two meetings are dedicated to the Policies and Barriers related to specific vaccinations focusing on harmonisation of national policies across Europe. Two meetings are dedicated to the overarching barriers that affect all spectrum of vaccinations in the COVID-19.
Each meeting is structured to have three 20 minute presentations. After the presentations, a discussion will follow on the corresponding discussion topics. Meeting participants will be prepared to make a short intervention (3 min each) and allocated between discussion points. The remaining time will be dedicated to discussion on a proposed road map and action plan that will be prepared and shared with all participants, supporters and allied associations directly and through EIP Social Media Channels.
The Working Group Meetings are part of EIP's work as part of the EU Vaccines Coalition. Topics are selected to correspond directly with specific needs that have been included in the EU 2022 Road Map for the Implementation of Actions identified by the European Commission.
All meetings will take place in Parallel to the 12th Excellence in Pediatrics Virtual Conference taking place 3-5 December 2020. Read more on the conference here.
